The U.S. government received some curveball from Curveball

Incredibly, in the egregious case of a defector to Germany code-named "Curveball," who had provided fabricated "intelligence" about Iraqi mobile biological labs, the CIA passed the information to policymakers without ever confirming it independently.

Jubilo goal was good: J. League

The Japan Times

The J League concluded that the controversial goal was legitimate because it was not a deliberate handball.

Of course, now that the game has ended, nobody can change the result of the game. The referee's decision is final. That is not controversial.

But the decision of the referee, Mr. Okada, should be checked and judged false! True is true and False is false.

Snow Falling on the roof

I can see the snow-covered roofs from my window.

Recently in my town it snows less than it used to.
I don't know exactly the reason why, but it is not surprising that we all are affected by the effects of global climate change.

Now, it has stopped snowing.

My nostalgia will never disappear...

Bush's Inaugural Address

Bush's Second Inaugural Address

"The survival of liberty in our land increasingly depends on the success of liberty in other lands. The best hope for peace in our world is the expansion of freedom in all the world. "

"From the day of our Founding, we have proclaimed that every man and woman on this earth has rights, and dignity, and matchless value, because they bear the image of the Maker of Heaven and earth. Across the generations we have proclaimed the imperative of self-government, because no one is fit to be a master, and no one deserves to be a slave. Advancing these ideals is the mission that created our Nation. It is the honorable achievement of our fathers. "

I strongly agree with you, Mr. President.

"Some, I know, have questioned the global appeal of liberty - though this time in history, four decades defined by the swiftest advance of freedom ever seen, is an odd time for doubt."

Whether you are right or not, it seems difficult for the religious fundamentalist to accept such idea. The backlash against that idea causes the terrorist activities.

"And all the allies of the United States can know: we honor your friendship, we rely on your counsel, and we depend on your help. Division among free nations is a primary goal of freedom's enemies. The concerted effort of free nations to promote democracy is a prelude to our enemies' defeat. "

I am for more "concerted effort of free nations". But I don't think you have made sufficient and adequate efforts so far.

'The time for diplomacy is now'

Rice: 'The time for diplomacy is now'

"Now is the time to build on these achievements to make the world safer, and to make the world more free. We must use American diplomacy to help create a balance of power in the world that favors freedom. And the time for diplomacy is now."

Yes, but Too late.

U.S. govenment are trying to bring peace to Middle East, but I think, cannot do only by thier sence of justice and their force.
Considering the situation, U.S military is doing its best to make Iraq safer. Nevertheless, the fact remains that people in Iraq is more in danger.
That means thier strategy is wrong.

Better late than never.

Okubo, You can make it!!

Yoshito Okubo, former Cerezo Osaka star striker, moved to Mallorca.
It is true that Spanish Division one is one of the most powerful league in the world, and Mallorca now sits in 19th place in the standings, but I strongly believe he will play well in his new team.

The reasons are:

1. he has good quickness, agility, and a powerful shot.

2. he has good characteristics. In Japan, he can get along well with his teammate, especially with players from other countries.

3. he enjoyed playing football in every situation he faced. and he will do the same in Spain, I guess.

4. his new teammates are very good players. I can't believe Mallorca now sits in such a low ranking. Okubo is a lucky guy.

Kurobe will move to Cerezo Osaka

Kyoto forward Kurobe moves to Cerezo Osaka on loan

It is natural for the football player to hope to play in higher level competition.
You had better go, and try to return to the national team.
But now, Can Kyoto survive J2 competition next season? orz

Strong Yen? Oil Prices?

"The move in the currency and the rise in oil prices are the issues we need to monitor," finance minister Sadakazu Tanigaki said.

Japan Needs to Watch Impact of Yen, Oil Gains, Tanigaki Says

According to his comments, the fundamentals of the Japanese economy are very sound. But their proposals to increase taxes will have the worst influence on the Japanese economy, I think.

Zannen!!
